The Clamage Family

Here is our August PJ Library Family of the Month! Meet Tina, Aaron, Talia (4), and Ben (6). The Clamage family lives in Laurel. Ben will be starting first grade at Monarch Global Academy, which will be virtual for the first semester. Talia attended preschool at Bet Yeladim for the past year.

How did you hear about PJ Library? We heard about PJ Library through friends and later on through Bet Yeladim. It was important to us to give our children a good Jewish start in life, so they would appreciate being Jewish and would feel a strong connection to Judaism. PJ Library and all its many programs fit perfectly into this. We like PJ Library because it has many different features that we can utilize in giving our children a good Jewish start and raising them with a Jewish sense of being.

What is your family's favorite PJ Library book? Both children love Something from Nothing!

What is your favorite PJ Library program? Honestly, it is really hard to choose just one favorite program! We love receiving the monthly books and being part of the community at Shabbat Tots. My kids also love attending Purim Palooza!

Why is PJ Library important in your home? PJ Library helps us find a balance in educating and teaching our children about themselves, being Jewish, and becoming better members in our society. Being Jewish is much more than just being part of a religion; it’s being part of a community that is like an extended family.

What is your bedtime routine with your little ones? Our bedtime routine is usually very simple. We eat dinner, bathe the kids, brush and floss teeth, and get pajamas on. After getting ready for bed, we snuggle up in our bed and read a couple of books together. After that, both kids go to their own rooms and have thirty minutes quiet reading time by themselves before we turn off the lights and go to sleep.

We hope you enjoyed getting to know the Clamage Family! If you'd like to be featured as our Family of the Month, send Allison an email.
